Creating Import file / Mass import file

When using our import or mass import tools the data is imported from an excel file. The file must be formatted correctly, otherwise the import will not work. Follow the steps below in order to make sure the format is correct:

1. Single program import file

1a) Download a sample file
It is well advised to start with downloading a sample file. There is one available for each type of import.

1b) Enter program identifier

Programs are identified by a program identifier so it is vital that the identifier in Topsheets (either program´s code or ID) matches the identifier in your spreadsheet. Please note that program code must not be longer than 35 characters.

1c) Do not change cell format
When adjusting the file make sure to change only values. Do not to change formatting of the cells. We recommend to use Excel AutoFill when copying dates into our excel sample files. Please see Using Excel AutoFill for dates for more information.

2. Mass import file

All points from above apply here as well.

In mass imports programs are identified by program identifiers too. Typically each column represents one program.
