Keeping your data and fund tearsheets safe is a top priority for us. That’s why we’ve added a new security measure to Topsheets designed to protect user accounts against brute-force attacks.
A brute-force attack is a common method used by attackers to gain access to accounts by repeatedly trying different password combinations until one works. These attacks are usually automated and can involve thousands of attempts in a short time.
Login attempt limit
While strong passwords are essential, adding a limit to login attempts is an important extra layer of protection. We have introduced this limit for all user accounts:
- After 5 unsuccessful sign-in attempts, the account is temporarily locked.
- The lock lasts for 10 minutes.
- During this time, sign-in is blocked to prevent further automated attempts.
How to regain access
If your account becomes locked, you have the following options to regain access to your fund factsheets:
- Wait 10 minutes and then try signing in again.
- Reset your password to unlock your account immediately.
- Contact [email protected] and our client support team will unlock your account for you.
This ensures that legitimate users can quickly regain access, while automated attack tools are effectively stopped.
Our ongoing commitment to security
This feature is part of our continuous effort to strengthen Topsheets security. We regularly review and improve our systems to ensure all your data and fund tearsheets remain protected.
